Terms and Conditions

Green Horizon Tours & Travels is a trusted, government-registered trekking and travel company in Nepal, offering professional tours, trekking, and adventure services in Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. Our goal is to provide safe, ethical, and high-quality travel experiences while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking your trip. These terms become effective from the date your booking is confirmed.


1. General Booking Conditions

To confirm a booking, clients must provide:

  • A copy of their passport

  • Completed booking form and flight details

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit of the total trip cost

Once confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable and will be treated as a cancellation fee if the client cancels the trip.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu before the trek/tour begins.


2. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

  • Bank wire transfer

  • Credit or debit card(upon arrival)

  • Cash (USD or NPR upon arrival)

⚠️ Credit card payments may include a 3%–3.5% processing fee.
⚠️ Bank transfer charges must be covered by the client.


3. Bhutan & Tibet Special Payment Policy

For Bhutan and Tibet trips, full payment of the remaining balance may be required at least 20 days before departure, especially if flying directly to these destinations.
Failure to pay on time may result in trip cancellation.


4. Last-Minute Booking Policy

Last-minute bookings are accepted for Nepal trips up to 3 days before departure, subject to availability.
Last-minute bookings may not be accepted for Bhutan or Tibet trips due to permit and visa requirements.


5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Charges

  • Less than 7 days before departure: 100% retained, no refund


6. Trip Postponement Policy

If a client cannot travel due to personal reasons (health, family, emergencies):

  • The deposit can be transferred to a future trip

  • If rescheduled within 1 year: No extra charge

  • If postponed after 1 year: Additional 10% fee per year may apply

Free postponement applies only for Nepal trips, subject to availability.


7. Incomplete or Unsuccessful Trip Policy

No refunds will be issued for trips that are cut short or unsuccessful due to:

  • Client’s personal choice

  • Health issues

  • Fatigue

  • Weather conditions

  • Missed flights or delays

Unused services will not be refunded once the trip has started.


8. Unforeseen Circumstances & Force Majeure

Green Horizon Tours & Travels is not liable for trip disruptions due to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Political unrest

  • Government restrictions

  • Pandemics

  • Extreme weather

  • Flight cancellations

  • Safety concerns

If a trip is canceled due to such reasons:

  • No cash refund will be issued

  • The full amount may be kept as trip credit for future travel in Nepal


9. Travel Insurance Requirement

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers.

Insurance must cover:

  • Medical emergencies

  • Emergency evacuation (including helicopter rescue)

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Loss of baggage or personal gear

  • Adventure or trekking risks

Any costs not covered by insurance must be paid by the client.


10. Health, Fitness & Safety Responsibility

Clients must:

  • Ensure they are physically fit for trekking or adventure travel

  • Declare any medical conditions before booking

  • Follow guide instructions and safety protocols

We reserve the right to remove a participant if their condition or behavior risks group safety.


11. Flight Delays & Remote Region Risks

Delays are common in remote trekking regions such as:

  • Everest Region

  • Annapurna Region

  • Dolpo

  • Jumla

  • Simikot

Clients should carry extra funds for accommodation and meals in case of delays.
We are not responsible for additional costs due to flight disruptions.


If a client engages in illegal, inappropriate, or prohibited activities, resulting in:

  • Detention

  • Deportation

  • Legal penalties

Green Horizon Tours & Travels will not provide refunds or compensation, and all consequences will be the client’s responsibility.


13. Liability Limitations

We are not responsible for:

  • Injury, illness, or death

  • Property loss or theft

  • Airline delays or cancellations

  • Political or natural emergencies

  • Third-party service failures

Travel in mountain and adventure regions involves inherent risks, and participation is at the client’s own responsibility.


14. Booking Through Agents Disclaimer

These Terms apply only to direct bookings with Green Horizon Tours & Travels.
If booked through third-party agents, their terms and policies will apply.


15. Website Content Disclaimer

We are not liable for losses caused by:

  • Website updates

  • Pricing errors

  • Content modifications


16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of Nepal.
We encourage clients to report concerns during the trip for immediate resolution.


17. Updates to Terms & Conditions

Green Horizon Tours & Travels reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
